(FR DENNIS) is happy to be back in the church. A good number of people have made very favourable comments about the end result. Of course, there can always be improvements and it is my intention to purchase what we need as funds become available.
The number of people who came to the opening and blessing was very gratifying. The food provided was most generous and fine quality. Thanks to those people who prepared the food and to the large number who served and cleaned-up the hall after the function.
The contributions to the Refurbishment Foundation have helped greatly to acquire the changes in the church and we should all be proud of our efforts. These contributions can still be made by cheque or in whatever way you would like. They will help to bring the work to completion and alleviate the debt.
I hope that the quality of liturgy is enhanced by the new space and environment.
The airconditioning works well to moderate the summer heat. The lighting is designed for a more prayerful atmosphere. I hope that we can take advantage of this over Christmas and in the major celebrations throughout the year.
