THERE was a meeting of the Finance Committee last Thursday (May 19) night and the accountant, Michelle O’Gorman, attended.
Amongst other matters we examined the Church Refurbishment costs and finance. I had forgotten how generous people had been to the donations and commitment for liturgical elements in the new space.
All the liturgical elements: Ambo (Lectern), Altar, Chair, Crucifix, Baptistery, Stations of the Cross, Sanctuary Chairs, Cruets Table, Mats, Vestments and St Bridget’s Window were donated.
These and cash donations amounted to over $100,000. That was an incredible effort on the part of the parish.
