WEDNESDAY, March 1 is Ash Wednesday. The beginning of Lent, and a time of preparation for the Easter Triduum. Ash Wednesday is a day of fasting and abstinence from meat.
Masses on Ash Wednesday, with the blessing and distribution of the ashes are:
- morning at 9.15am
- evening at 7.30pm
The Lenten Journey, will commence on March 8, and will be held each Wednesday evening during Lent at 7.30pm.
This year the Lenten Journey is a two part session, beginning with prayer, scripture reading and reflection, followed by discussion groups.
Parishioners may participate in either one or both sessions. If you wish to join in the discussion groups please indicate your participation on the clipboard in the narthex so that the resource books can be ordered for you.
