BISHOP Terry Curtin left for Europe on August 24, starting in Lviv, Ukraine, where he will represent the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference at the annual Synod of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.
Bishop Peter Stasiuk, who leads the Ukrainians in Australia and Oceania, was also at the Synod.
The Ukrainian Catholics are divided into Eparchies and this Synod discussed the future of their churches with a focus on parish pastoral care.
Bishop Terry delivered greetings and prayerful good wishes from the Australian Bishops.
