So if you are currently attending Mass at the parish but are not registered, we need you to commit to the parish community in a very concrete way by registering as a parishioner. This may apply to existing registered parishioners, as it is assumed that parish families and individuals contribute to the planned giving. This is a basic expectation and it applies to the clergy, members of the PPC, and even past priests and parishioners of the parish who sometimes continue to contribute, even though they have no responsibility to do so.
Clearly, that responsibility is not understood. We have only 150 registered for envelopes. In a spirit of fraternal charity and understanding I am obliged to remind parishioners of this responsibility.
