School Knit & Give Project

ST Bridget’s school parents and students are actively involved in the KOGO (Knit One, Give One) project, and invite the parishioners to join them in knitting woollen squares for this worthy project.

Come to St Bridget’s school office and get the 8 ply wool at no cost.

You just need to provide your own 4mm knitting needles. Knit the squares and drop them back to the school office when done.

The school will arrange the sewing/assembly of the squares. Knit straight square pattern using 8ply wool and 4mm needles by casting on 40 stitches. Knit in garter stitch until square measures 20cm – Cast off.

Squares should now measure 20cm x 20cm. Return squares to school.

Contact school office or Margie Maher (teacher/co-ordinator). Poster in the narthex for more information.

Last year KOGO distributed 78,5000 hand crafted winter woollies to the most vulnerable in our community.
