ST Bridget’s celebrates 25 years of our St Vincent de Paul Conference on Sunday, April 23 at 10am Mass.
Come and join with past and current members (senior and junior Mini Vinnies) to seek God’s blessing on the ongoing SVdP works of social justice. This Octave of Easter occurs on the very day of Blessed Frederic Ozanam’s 20th birthday when, in 1833, he joined with other young students in Paris to work for those in need in the chaotic, cruel and anonymous city.
His Conference of Charity became the St Vincent de Paul Society. Then as now Vinnies take the Love of Christ in practical ways to help our neighbours in need of a Hand Up. All parishioners are invited to join in morning tea and cutting of the anniversary cake after Mass.
