The beginning of Lent, and a time of preparation for the Easter Triduum.\u00a0 Ash Wednesday is a day of fasting and abstinence from meat.<\/p>\n<p>Masses on Ash Wednesday, with the blessing and distribution of the ashes are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>morning at 9.15am<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>evening at 7.30pm<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <strong>Lenten <\/strong>Journey, will commence on March 8, and will be held each Wednesday evening during Lent at<strong> 7.30pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This year the Lenten Journey is a two part session, beginning with prayer, scripture reading and reflection, followed by discussion groups.<\/p>\n<p>Parishioners may participate in either one or both sessions.
